Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Canvel (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a travel-planning application that helps you create itineraries, plan trips with others, and split shared costs. You can reach us any time at hello@canvel.app.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use Canvel. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You may sign in using a supported third-party provider (such as Google or Apple).

3. Acceptable use & user content

Canvel lets you create and share content such as trips, itineraries, notes, and expenses (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content. By sharing it, you grant us a limited license to host and display it so the Service can function.

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or that infringes the rights of others, and not to misuse the Service to harass or harm other users. We may review reported content and remove it, and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion.

4. Reporting & moderation

If you encounter objectionable content or abusive users, you can report them from within the app. We aim to review reports and act on them — including removing content and ejecting offending users — within 24 hours. You can also block another user to prevent further interaction.

5. Travel information disclaimer

Canvel provides suggestions, estimates, and AI-generated itineraries for convenience. We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, pricing, or safety of any place, activity, or service. Always verify details (opening hours, bookings, local conditions, and travel advisories) independently before you rely on them.

6. Payments & cost splitting

Any bill-splitting features are for tracking and informational purposes only. Canvel does not process payments between users and is not a money transmitter. Settling balances is solely between you and the people you travel with.

7. Termination

You may stop using Canvel and delete your account at any time from within the app or via our account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Canvel is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
